Born and raised in Upper Lower Michigan in the Traverse City area, Scott Carmichael was always interested in drawing and being creative whenever possible, even at an early age.

Up until his last year of High School, Scott’s goal was to become an animator and work for Disney - but after realizing how expensive it was to attend college out of state and seeing the fading career possibilities as a 2D animator (due to industry changes) he decided to pursue graphic design instead.

In 2000 Scott began attending Ferris State University’s Visual Communication program (after learning about it from his teacher while in a Career Tech program during High School). He stayed there for the next 4 years and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Design & Web Media (the program had changed its name) in late 2004. In early 2005 Scott worked briefly as a designer near his hometown area but then moved in the summer to Chicago for a better job opportunity in his field.

After a year and a half he grew tired of Chicago and decided to return to Michigan in order to figure out where he wanted to live and work permanently. Currently, Scott is working as a Web Designer in a Grand Rapids-based publishing company and hopes to one day live out west in Phoenix, Arizona or somewhere in sunny & warm California.
